iHeartMedia is looking for a talented Java Engineer to work directly with our Engineering & Systems Integration team on software development and enhancement to support broadcast data services initiatives. This position requires using highly structured programming techniques in writing software code, and disciplined documentation skills. Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with Project Manager, lead architect, and other team members to clearly provide progress updates, roadblocks, and offer suggestions & solutions. The successful candidate needs to be able to investigate problems, identify robust solutions quickly and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience in enterprise software development in Java J2EE
Broadcasting, automotive or Industry equivalent experience preferred
Essential skills, extensive enterprise level development experience with experience in the following technologies and languages: Java, Scala, JavaScript, JQuery, React, Spring Frameworks, Akka, Maven, Junit
Experience with data manipulation and transformation
Experience with working with databases from the development side. MySQL and PostgreSQL experience preferred
Broad experience with HTTP, FTP, XML, Client/Server protocols and server virtualization
Ability to work with external engineers, and provide clear documentation, APIs, and sample code
Experience with Technical Standards, Documentation Skills, Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Working knowledge of broadcast data protocols (TPEG, TMC, HD Radio, Maps, Geolocation) desired, but not required.
